Happy Holidays

Wow what an amazing year it has been seeing our little baby Sebastian transform into a walking toddler. This year has been about three things baby, baby and oh yea the baby. On December the 27th we had one of the most amazing and joyful experiences of our lives (well Susan wouldn't exactly call it joyful until the whole natural birth process was over). After many hours of labor, anticipation and endurance, Susan gave birth to the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my entire life. After he was given to me we could not stop staring at each other. It's been a bond that hasn't ceased yet. We can’t thank our parents enough for their support after the birth. Being parents is so much harder and rewarding than we could have imagined. Sleepless nights made the first few months seem like a blur.

Susan has taken up flamenco
dancing. When we go back to Spain she will be ready to dance on the tables.

In February Christian started a new job with the local International Truck dealership. He was happy to find out that his Grandpa Franchino owned a 1938 International Truck.

The baby took his first airplane ride in May. We flew down to Miami so he could meet the family. Baby really liked Miami! He enjoyed walking up to the window of La Catereta and ordering a Cuban Coffee...oh wait that was Papa! Sebastian took his first dip in the ocean. After Miami, Sebastian flew up to Atlanta to meet his abuelos, aunt and cousins I think they hit it off, years of corruption ahead. When Baby and Mama returned his development really started to take off. He was making more and more noises and laughing at everything.

We enjoy spending time outdoors and hiking in the parks. He has taken on the personality of his middle name Arcadi, which means a walk in the woods.

In June after months without much sleep Susan’s sleep problems improved and she finally started sleep through the night.

In July we went up to Bear Lake to see Grandma and Grandpa Fleming. We enjoyed swimming in the lake, and visiting the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. He really liked playing in the sand. He started crawling up at Bear Lake.
In the fall the baby really got into the sport of speed crawling. And boy did he get fast. Thanksgiving we went to Atlanta. Sure enough that is where he took one …two …three steps and fell down. We were so excited and so was he. It took a couple of weeks but he finally got up and going to were he can cruise the house. …YIKES!

We look forward to next year and hearing what you have been up to. We hope this letter finds you well. May god bless you and your family.

Love,
Susan & Christian & Sebastian
